Lexar Media has just recently announced the new Lexar Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader. This little baby is a high-performance card reader that enables you to maximize your workflow thanks to incredibly fast transfer speeds. This device leverages SuperSpeed USB technology in order to give you high-speed performance that supports the latest CompactFlash UDMA, Secure Digital Extended Capacity and SD Ultra High Speed-I memory cards. One cool feature about this device is that it is also backwards compatible with standard CF, SD and Secure Digital High Capacity memory cards as well as USB 2.0 host devices.

This device has a lot of cool features including the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface which operates at 500MB per second. It also has a USB 2.0 interface which operates at 60MB per second if you haven’t yet upgraded to USB 3.0. This device is also said to read high-performance cards up to six times faster than previous generation USB 2.0 card readers. The reader is able to transfer content from both SD and CF cards simultaneously and also allows for easy file transfer from one card to another. This reader also features an innovative pop-up mechanism which allows users to close the reader whenever it is not in use. This protects the device from dirt and other debris.
