Google Updates Web Browser for Easier Tablet Experience

Google tabletGoogle, in an attempt to evolve the experience and design of Google itself, has just improved the www.google.com search experience on tablets. How so, you may ask? Well, Google has simplified the layout of search results pages and also increased the size of page content like text, buttons and other touch targets in order to make it faster and easier to browse and interact with your search results.

Google also improved image results. For this, the company focused on improvements that enhanced the viewing experience like enlarged image previews, continuous scroll and faster loading of image thumbnails. This should make scrolling through pictures and selecting certain ones much easier than before.

This improved search experience should be hitting your tablet in the next couple of days. The update will take effect on the Apple iPad and iPad 2 as well as all Android 3.1+ tablets across 36 languages. All you have to do to test it out is go to www.google.com in your tablet’s web browser.

This seems like the perfect thing for tablet users. I own a touch screen smartphone, not a tablet, but I know how hard it can be sometimes to hit specific links and things on the web browser. This isn’t the most monumental update to ever hit a tablet but it is a nice gesture from Google. It shows that they think about their users and want to make things easier for them.
