The target audience for ultrabooks is definitely consumers, without a doubt. The sleek, portable laptops are designed to be taken virtually anywhere and were also conceived as a way to combat Apple’s MacBook lineup. Despite the shortcomings of ultrabooks, many tech analysts have wondered where the business professional ultrabook has been, which is a question Dell is ready to answer with its new Latitude 6430u.
The 6430u is being touted as a business ultrabook by Dell and is said to be coming with Intel’s Core i3, i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge processors. In addition to that, you can expect to see your traditional ultrabook specs, though Dell is throwing a few curve balls in along the way, like support for Intel’s vPro platform, an aluminum construction and a removable battery.
The Latitude 6430u will also include 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage depending on which model you decide to go with. Each model will come with a 14″ screen complete with a 1,366×768 resolution and the overall thickness of the device will be 20.9mm at its thickest.
